Music and Sports

Regarding music and sports, this town has one soccer team and one dance group.

The locals prefer to listening and dancing CARRANGA and GUABINA music, but they practice the other cultures and sports too.

*CARRANGA: It's folk music make by guitar, trebe, requinto and guacharaca. It's a combination between merengue and rumba criolla. It's love to the country side, the ecology, good joke and social criticize.

*GUABINA: It's a Andean music refer to common people and it sings to the Earth. It makes by trebe, requinto, bandola and alfandoque.

Tourist Places

When you arrive at the town you'll notice many tourist places:

*SALTO BLANCO: You should definitely visit it. It's a big waterfall about 356 m high. In it there is a phenomenon called The ANTELIA; this is when you make a lot noise the clouds go down, if in this moment the sun is strong and you stay there with other persons, each person only can see your shadow in a rainbow.

*TIERRA DE COLORES: It's a natural place with small mountains in different colours; it's produced by erosion. Personally, I'd think it's very strange.

*GUANES TUMBS: They're near the SALTO BLANCO. It has many archaelogical Guanes treasures.

* INDIAN CAVE: It's in the border with San Vicente and Zapatoca. It's a labyrinth and it isn't discovered enough. Personally, I wouldn't believe that it's a safe place because you can lost.

* THE QUEEN CAVE: It's formed by pieces of rock. It's a labyrinth with many underground rooms; in it, Guanes kept a big part of yours treasures. I wouldn't recommend because this place can collapse suddenly.

* THE CUNERA: It's a stream with a natural water shute. it's on the way to relax but it's too far.

* NATURALIA HOUSE: It's a old, big and historical house. It was built in 1856 with big corridors and balconies. It has many kinds of flowers and plants, it's like a museum. Naturalia is really worth seeing.
